I cannot express enough how wonderful Wilwin is. Dwane and Barb are wonderful hosts. The grounds are well kept, the trails are amazing. Seeing the change in Eric and Bill (veterans) while at Wilwin is astounding. So relaxed, laughing and enjoying themselves with the weight of the world lifted off of them. The calm surroundings has an amazing effect. I don't mind no TV or Internet, but for security and safety I do wish cell phones worked.

There were alot of accomodations at wilwin lodge to keep you busy and comfortable. The caretakers created a wonderful environment and were very friendly and personable. All around a great atmosphere to enjoy some vacation time.

I loved taking my kids out fishing on the pontoon! My boys had such a great time! It was much a much needed family time to unwind and detach from the real world for a few days! Thank you so much for providing a wonderful experience! I can't wait to come back next year!

Our stay at Wilwin was very relaxing and fun. Would have loved to stay longer. 5 days went by way too fast. The Cabin was clean and very accommodating, even had airconditioning. Riding the trails in the provided golf cart was fun. Saw lots of wildlife including a Box turtle. Campfire at night was so much fun and gives you the chance to meet new people. I even had the chance to go fishing which I hadn't done in 50 years. That is catch and release only but still fun. The use of various water craft is an added bonus. You have many movies to pick from but we only had 2 times we had time to watch anything. Not having TV was a bonus which forces you out in the fresh air. Also not having good phone service is also a plus. It gets you the chance to unplug from everything.

The only suggestion I would have is at the numbered trails is to add which way to go for the next number. The trails get a little confusing even with a map.

This place is a great place to come if your a veteran, come make some memories here at wilwin lodge. They have boats, kayak's canoe's, as well as golf carts for you to use during your stay. The cabins are very nice, up to date and very clean. The staff is very friendly and happy to help or answer any questions you may have. Lots of trails to ride the golf carts on also. Hope you enjoy your stay just as much as we have.

Wilwin is a wonderful place for military veterans and their families to spend a few days relaxing in the exceptional natural beauty of Michigan. We were able to spend quality time with our grandkids. We went swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, etc. We watched a bald eagle soar above the lake, enjoyed the sunsets, and wrapped up a full day of adventures with a campfire. The accommodations are comfortable and have everything you need. It's just a few minutes drive to Ludington and we enjoyed spending time in Lake Michigan and on the beach. The county fair was going on. The roadside produce stands were full of fresh fruits and vegetables. It was a very special, memorable week.

      We just returned from Wilwin and wanted to thank your staff again, for a wonderful time. The Wilwin Lodge at Cygnet Cove is an amazing place to experience quality time for Veterans and their families, in a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed the opportunity of sharing this with our family. The Wilwin allows veterans to express their feelings in a safe environment, without judgment. It offers a stress-free vacation for families to share. We have met some wonderful families during our visits and are forming new relationships with them.

      Barb and Dwyane are great ambassadors, advocating the best of Wilwin Lodge to all that stay there. They go above and beyond to offer the best understanding of the benefits of Wilwin to your guests. This experience is hard to put into words, but we can say it’s “almost as a place in time, with a renewal of peace”. We enjoy sharing our time there with other visitors, who are curious about the Main Lodge, giving them mini-tours of the house, while we stayed there.

      We have attended your last two fundraisers and were taken off guard, by the wonderful support that the Mi. Legions are given this location. When we returned to our local, American Legion Post 10 in Manistee, MI, we attempt to spread the word about Wilwin and their need for local support. 

We are fortunate to have this in Northwestern Michigan. We would just like to thank you and your caretakers, again, for a wonderful experience that we have been able to share with our family. We are so thankful that we discovered this little piece of heaven.

4th of July weekend, 2022, was the first time I stayed there. Everyone was beyond welcoming, friendly, understanding and down right a breath of fresh air. My two boys, (8) and (12) didn’t want to leave. This place made us feel so free and relaxed. I never get quality time with my boys. I’m very high strung, work too much and anxiety takes over my life. I can guarantee anyone who stays at Wilwin will leave happy, and ready to Come back the following year. The couple who manages the lodge were absolutely amazing. So welcoming, informative, understanding, and encouraging! It’s a hidden gem, that many vets should take a chance, book a weekend or whatever works for their schedule, and simply breath. Relax. WOW!! An amazing, relaxing retreat for Veterans!! Coupled with the natural beauty; Barb & Duane do an amazing job keeping the place beautiful. We had the perfect family get away and enjoyed all the amenities of the cabins, rec-hall, pontoon boats, campfires, golf carts, fishing, swimming. Especially enjoy seeing the bald eagles catching fish in their natural habitat. Time with Family is precious, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to get together!! We took my dad and mom since he is also a 82 yr old vet and had a great time. The cabin was sufficient for 4 people and very clean and beautiful. We went out on the lake on pontoon and rode around propery on golf carts most of the day. My dad even got out finally. The rec center was awesome. We had chili in there with other campers we meet, sat by fire for a while, then went inside rec center to watch movie. I would recommend Wilwin Lodge to all our Vet friends. Troop 165 camped last weekend at Wilwin at Cygnet Cove and we had a great time! Everything at the camp was really good:  the property, the hiking trails, the caretakers, the cleanliness of the grounds, the huge woodpile and fire ring next to the lake, the paddle boats, and the wildlife we encountered and heard, and the cost (free). Thank you for introducing us to Wilwin and encouraging us (repeatedly) to take advantage of that property. The boys definitely want to go back there, maybe sometime warmer so they can swim in the lake and go fishing.
